Getting Around in Nepal

In recent years, there has been significant increase in the modes of transportation in Nepal, especially due to the growth of tourism. The most popular way of traveling in Nepal now is by the Micro Buses. These buses have 10 to 12 seats, expensive than the regular buses, are extremely fast and have many routes. The Super Express Buses are also very comfortable and fast way of transportation. Local buses are quite cheap but these are extremely crowded by not only people but also cattle and poultry. For a short distance there is nothing like a rickshaw. The three-wheeled tempos are quite popular. Taxis are common in the cities and the airport area of Nepal but it can be very expensive. If you want to travel on your own, try hiring a motorbike for a day.
